Built in 1836 as a dormitory, Athenian Hall was rescued from demolition by the Orleans County Historical Society for use as a county museum. The building contains the collection of the Historical Society and displays from ten towns in Orleans County. In addition to local historical materials, the museum collection includes 18th and 19th century New England furniture, paintings, decorative arts, and tools. Modest admission charged.
