Work Experience and Internships
- December 2008 - present: Consultant, Burlington VT. Fractography and mechanical propertics of ceramics.
- April 2005 - August 2005: Intern in the Mechanical Engineering Department at the University of Vermont,
Burlington, VT. Performed calculations to model the nanoindentation on
nanostructures. Used the quasicontinuum method on a single crystal and
a polycrystal in order to study the plasticity of these materials.
- May 2004 - September 2004: Intern at the CEA
(Commissariat à l'Energie Atomique, the French institute specialized in
nuclear research), Saclay, France. Worked on ADIMEW, a European project
dealing with the propagation of a crack in a bimetallic pipe under a
four point bending moment. Simulated the propagation of the crack along
the weld with CASTEM 2000, a finite element computer software.
