1985 Hi, all. I hope everyone is doing well. Things have been crazy for me this year, and I haven’t had much time to keep up with our column. I have been actively involved in selling the company I work for, and it has been a wonderful, but labor-intensive experience. Now to the news of our class: Julie Geisler and her husband, Philip Milio, live in New York City. Julie is a consultant to several non-profit groups and is on the board of directors of the New York Road Runners Club. She enjoys participating in marathons, triathlons, and she did the Ironman Triathlon this year. Eileen Shea Fitzpatrick wrote me about a wonderful celebration that she and a few of her old roommates had last May on South Beach, Fla., to celebrate turning 40. She wrote that Ann Appleby Terwilliger, Sheila McPhillips Spell, and Nancy Fay Peter had a blast catching up and recounting some fun memories. Shea lives in Far Hills, N.J., with her husband and three children. Ann lives in Mendham, N.J., with her husband and three children. She started her own interior decorating business. Nancy lives in Darien, Conn., with husband Jonathan ’84 and their three children. After quitting Wall Street, Nancy began selling real estate in her area. Sheila lives with her husband in Manhattan. She is an executive at Empire Blue Cross in New York City. Three weeks after they got together, they all caught up with some other alumni at a surprise party in Manhattan for Shea, and they saw Lyn Jordan McCarthy, who lives in Wellesley, Mass., with her husband and two children, and Dotty Nestico (’84) Boyle, who lives in Hingham, Mass., with her husband and three children. Lyn reported that Norris Jordan ’84, who lives in Philadelphia, just got back from Bermuda, where he saw Somers Cooper ’84, who lives with hs wife and four children. Lisa Spindler Ellis reported that many of the gals from South Willard Street/ Willis 1st got together for a weekend of fun and frolic in Burlington to celebrate their 40th birthdays. Lisa said that Trish Slattery O’Connell, Nancy Dowd Holt, Sue Skrowronski (’86) Dunn, Paige Puglisi Brennan, and Heather Scott Zini were there. Debbie Levine Rosenthal, husband Bill, and their three beautiful children, Alyssa, Jessica, and Jake, live in Georgetown, Mass. Susan Kail, with her five-year-old daughter Eloise, continues to live in London and has been there since 1989. Susan works for Knoll Furniture Company. She is interested in organizing an alumni gathering in London for those who are interested, and she can be reached via email at susankail@one tel.net.uk. Alan Ouellette lives in Stowe, Vt., with his dog, Max. He is a senior developer for Springer-Miller Systems and has been there for the last five years and loves it. I have been actively racing my 124 sailboat Last Kid Picked with fellow UVM graduates Geoff Halsted, Tom Bissonette, Chuck Garrapy, and Ken Britting. Alan also works part-time for the Stowe Mountain Race Department, and he tries to get out skiing every day.

1994 Now is a particularly exciting time at UVM, because President Fogel and the University of Vermont trustees have formally announced the Campaign for the University of Vermont with a goal of $250 million. As the ten-year anniversary of our graduation approaches, the fund-raising campaign is especially meaningful to us because our class reunion gift will count towards these efforts. As an incentive, UVM is giving a UVM class of ’94 baseball cap to the first 50 members of our class who join the new online community and make a contribution to our class gift. You better act on this right away, because the hats will surely go fast. One more UVM action item to take care of today: Make your reservations now for your return to UVM and Burlington.
