The 4th annual Rubenstein Graduate Student Association Chili Cook-Off on November 11, 2013 drew in many students, staff, and faculty to sample almost a dozen different meat and vegetarian chili concoctions cooked up by our very own RSENR graduate students. Funds raised went to the Chittenden County Emergency Food Shelf and the RGSA.
RGSA officers, Cook-Off organizers, and contestants set up.
The chili is warm and ready for eating. Both meat-lovers' chili and...
and veggie selections.
The cornbread is sliced and the ticket seller is ready.
Hungry guests arrive, pay their entrance fee, and receive a voting ballot.
Guests eagerly serve themselves
The crowd thickens as the chili in the pots thins.
Guests eat and socialize...or just EAT!
The votes are cast and the ballots are tallied.
Congratulations to the winners (left to right):
Christine Peterson 2nd place veggie, Besse Perry 1st place veggie,
Nathan Reigner 1st place meat, and Emil Tsao 2nd place meat.
