For Those Searching for a Slippery Cool
by: Jeff Buckley
For those searching for a slippery cool
keep reaching
whether gains attained are meaningless
we will never know.
Just Go, enjoy yourselves
finally rejoicing
over well-deserved
wounds licked.
Guarded against ill-timed wind,
resistant to the source
that flings and forces
remorse.
Flapping against breezes insurmountable
unattainable to the wavering wing
don't waver.
Just Guess,
against odds ridiculous.
Laugh at the too-trained eye
who always asks for flesh
while we naively ask for deeper.
Behold an apparent cross
recently disappeared.
Just Pray,
or ask for something else.
