Tom Porter Lecture

Join us for a special speaker series event with Sakokwenionkwas, also know as Tom Porter!

Sakokwenionkwas is a multifaceted teacher, warrior of peace, cultural conservationist, activist for change, and spiritual/political leader. Sakokwenionkwas is a member of the Bear Clan of the Mohawk Nation at Akwesasne, and held the position of one of the nine chief titles of the Mohawk Nation for 21 years. He believes environmental conservation must include perspectives of cultural conservation and traditional ecological knowledge.

Join us March 31st as Sakokwenionkwas urges us to return to "The Original Instructions", our guide to taking care of this earth.
