Student Research Conference
Registration is open!
The Student Research Conference, UVM's annual showcase of student innovation and creativity, has opened registration! The SRC is inclusive of all disciplines, and the FOUR office encourages you to take part in one of the biggest events of the year.
Registration has just opened for the annual Student Research Conference (SRC), which will be held in the Davis Center on April 16! The Office of Fellowships, Opportunities, and Undergraduate Research (FOUR) is welcoming all undergraduate and graduate students who have engaged in original creative activity or research scholarship to sign up. Presentation time slots are 1 to 1.5 hours.
The SRC is attended by members of the UVM and greater Burlington community, and it spotlights hundreds of students sharing their original work with fellow presenters and attendees. Taking over the fourth floor of the Davis Center, the SRC gives visitors the opportunity to explore the creative lounge, which has been home to creative works including music, film, and virtual reality simulations. Students with poster presentations will fill the Grand Maple Ballroom, where conference attendees will be able to speak directly to student researchers about their scholarship while building connections. Oral presentations will be scheduled throughout the day, and the SRC schedule will be posted in March.
If you have not completed your research, you are still able to present. Registration requires an abstract, information about the presenter, a UVM faculty sponsor, as well as timing and presentation format specifics. Research conducted in 200-level courses can be presented if it is independent of the professor. All students who register for the conference will be accepted to participate, and it is an excellent chance to hone your presentation and networking skills.
