Benefits Enrollment Deadline and ACA Dependent Updates

Our annual Open Enrollment began on October 30 and will end on Wednesday, November 22. Please ensure that any forms to enroll in or change your benefits are complete and received by Human Resources in 228 Waterman by the deadline date of November 22 (the day before Thanksgiving).
The Affordable Care Act requires employers to inform you about a new online option for documenting and updating benefits-related information (such as social security numbers) for your dependents on the UVM medical plan. During Open Enrollment (through November 22, 2017), employees may sign into PeopleSoft self-service or send in the Certification of Dependents form to verify or submit social security numbers for medical dependents. These updates are for existing medical dependents only. If dependents are being added to a health care plan please complete the Blue Cross Blue Shield Group Enrollment/Change form.
Options for updating social security numbers for dependents are listed below:
1. Online: PeopleSoft Self-Service - For details on how to update, see the Logging into PeopleSoft Self Service Instructions. Once updates have been submitted, you will receive an automatically generated email from PeopleSoft within 10 minutes of the submission.
2. Paper: Certification of Dependents form - The Certification of Dependents form can be found on the HRS website. Paper updates may
be made throughout the year. This form can be emailed to HRS or delivered to 228 Waterman, 85 South Prospect St, Burlington, VT 05405.
