From recipes that include the most nutritious mix of ingredients to offering educational resources for positive lifestyle habits, healthy options are the result of a team dedicated to advancing the well-being of the entire campus community.
Another important part of our focus on health and wellness is the use of seasonal menus, featuring fresh and healthy ingredients - many of which are grown by local or regional farmers. Every season has its own unique produce that is showcased in delicious signature dishes to highlight the distinct flavors and natural appeal of seasonal items.
For students who have special dietary and nutritional needs we have informational resources and customized menus to address your needs. These menus meet the strictest compliance standards, without sacrificing flavor, texture or presentation.

Alternative Dietary Needs
At University Dining Services we understand that there are students with alternative dietary needs. UDS offers a wide variety of foods and resources available to assist students in making menu selections and designing a dining plan that works for you.

Gluten Free Guildlines
All three resident dining locations have an allergen-free area, "My Zone," designed to provide a safe environment for those with specific dietary needs or food allergies. No nut or gluten items are allowed to enter the space and the area is equipped with a designated microwave, refrigerator, toaster, gloves and allergen-free prep surfaces.
Each of our thirteen units offer Vegan and Vegetarian options as part of their daily menu cycle. Our three resident and two of our retail dining locations have dedicated Vegan/Vegetarian platforms.
On-Line and Nutrition Information
Our Unlimited Dining halls and two retail locations have upgraded their on-line menus to include nutritional facts,
ingredients and allergen information. In addition, on-line menus have icons indicating if the menu selection is
vegan, vegetarian and/or a well-balanced plate. Customers can select items for the day and/or week to generate a
personal nutritional summary including caloric intake. We are actively working on providing on-line menus for our
The University Dining Services Nutrition webpage also highlights the “For Your Health” program that is part of
Sodexo’s “A Better Tomorrow Starts Today” initiative. The website includes links to the Nutritional Calculator, Meet
Your Dietitian and MyPlate, which is a website hosted by the US Department of Agriculture focused on eating
healthy, well-balanced meals.
A collection of healthy recipes that guarantees the use of fresh fruits, vegetables, whole grains, and lean proteins. Each Mindful meal contains:
- 600 Calories for less
- 35% or less of total calories from fat
- 800mg or less of sodium

It is no fun to be sick so far from home. University Dining Services coordinates
with the University to provide meals for students who are ill. As a student you can
authorize a friend to pick up a meal using your ID and a completed
Sick Tray Form. Your friend must present both to one of our customer service representatives at the
dining location of your choice. The transaction is for one Meal or up to $10.00 in points
depending on the dining location used. One form is to be completed for each meal request.
