Have a
Heart This Spring
Spring is a great
time to reintroduce yourself to your
neighbors and to get more involved in
your community. Spring is also an
important time to remember that
neighbors are only a wall away. If you
decide to host a social gathering or if
you and your friends are out late at
night walking through Burlington
neighborhoods please join the UVM Have a
Heart Campaign and help reduce
late-night noise and disruption in our
community.

The Office of Student
and Community Relations will be doing
several events with SGA and Greek
volunteers to raise awareness about the
impact of late-night noise and
disruption on other students, families,
kids, and seniors. We also wanted to
give everyone the heads up about the
ongoing Quality-of-Life Initiative
implemented by the Burlington Police
Department and supported by the
university. Each Spring officers are
assigned to patrols, which target noise,
alcohol, and other late night municipal
offenses. To avoid getting a hefty
ticket at the end of the semester make
sure that you know what your rights and
responsibilities are as a tenant and
citizen of Burlington.
To find out more
about local city ordinances please visit

chapter of the
