Have
a Heart This Spring
It's that time of year again! The weather is
getting warmer and we all are looking forward to being
outdoors. We all enjoy
the benefits of the Spring weather and it's fun to see so
many Burlingtonians coming out of their winter hibernation.
Spring is a great
time to reintroduce yourself to your neighbors and to get
more involved in your community (anyone up for a neighborhood clean
up, please see the article below). It is also an important time to
remember the "Have
a Heart" message:
"When you are out
enjoying Burlington remember
that neighbors are only a wall away. Your actions to
help create a safe and peaceful community are appreciated!"
OSCR will be out with SGA and Greek volunteers
doing our Spring "Have
a Heart Campaign" to raise awareness about the impact of late night
noise and disruption on the local community (students, familes,
seniors, professionals, businesses, etc). In case you don't run into us
we wanted
to give you a heads up about an ongoing Quality-of-Life Intiative
implemented
by the Burlington Police Department and UVM Police Services. Each
Spring officers are assigned to joint noise
patrols which target noise,
alcohol, and other late night municipal offenses.
To avoid getting a hefty ticket make sure that
you know what your rights and responsibilities are as a tenant and
citizen of Burlington.

Campus Living Survival Guide or email Alicia.Taylor@uvm.edu with any
