UVM STAND (Students Taking Action Now: Darfur) will be kicking off its April Month of Action with a screening of the documentary DARFUR NOW followed by a short discussion held by Sudanese students Atem Deng and Achier Mou.
This **free event** will take place on Tuesday, April 1st in the Silver Maple Ballroom (4th Floor of the Davis Center) starting at 8pm.
All are welcome.
DARFUR NOW is a story of hope in the midst of one of humanity's darkest hours—a call to action for people everywhere to end the catastrophe unfolding in Darfur, Sudan. In this documentary, written and directed by fellow Vermonter Ted Braun, the struggles and achievements of six different individuals from inside Darfur and around the world bring to light the tragedy in Sudan and show how the actions of one person can make a difference to millions.
