The Way Forward 

The Leading By Design Project's proposal for a new UVM matrix center was recently strengthened through the work of a committee charged by President Fogel with responding to the concerns of the Faculty Senate, and suggestions that arose at a University Leadership Retreat.  Its members included:

• Professor Robert Costanza, Rubenstein School and the Gund Institute
• Professor Robert Bartlett, Department of Political Science, College of Arts and Sciences
• Professor Domenico Grasso, Dean, College of Engineering and Mathematical Sciences and Member of the University Planning Council
• Professor Jane Knodell, Special Assistant to the Provost, College of Arts & Sciences, and Member of the University Planning Council
• Professor Richard Galbraith, College of Medicine and Faculty Senate
• Professor Michael Gurdon, School of Business Administration
• Professor Kathleen Manning, College of Education and Social Service and Member of the University Planning Council
• Professor Michael Vayda, College of Agriculture and Life Sciences
• Professor Judith Cohen, College of Nursing and Health Sciences, Member of the University Planning Council, and Faculty Senate
• Professor Cynthia Forehand, College of Medicine and Faculty Senate 
• Professor Douglas Lantagne, Dean, UVM Extension

The committee hopes to bring the proposal to the Faculty Senate and the Lewis Foundation this spring.
