Coach Lonergan on Marqus Blakely: “Marqus has had a phenomenal career. He has worked hard this off-season to improve his free throw shooting, which has been his Achilles heel throughout his career. I expect Marqus to be the best player in the conference for the third straight season and one of the top players in the country. He is stronger than ever, but I would like to see him be a smarter player on the court. If he stays healthy, stays out of foul trouble and increases his free throw shooting percentage we should have another great season. I would love to see Marqus lead us to the NCAA Tournament this year.”
