Our Mission

This mission of this website is to establish a Univeristy of Vermont-based page that answers the who, what, where, why and when questions surrounding community-based forestry.  It provides definitions, case studies, online and paper resources, a bibliography, and a number of current and former student projects delving further into individual case studies.  This website was originally designed to assist students interested in gaining an introduction to community-based forestry, but has since been made available to the general public.  It contains introductory information explaining the elements of community-based forestry,
where and how long it has been happening, as well as how it has changed over the years.
