August 26-30, 2026 - In-Person New Student Orientation

Welcome to Catamount Beginnings! 

If you’re joining UVM for the Fall 2026 semester, your New Student Orientation adventure kicks off on August 26 or 27, depending on your housing assignment and/or orientation group.

During Orientation, you’ll be part of a small group of about 30 students from your college and major, making it easy to start building connections right away. You’ll be guided by two Orientation Leaders (current UVM students) who are here to help you navigate campus, answer questions, and share insider tips about academics, student life, Burlington, and beyond.

Days are packed with a blend of informative sessions and interactive experiences where you’ll learn about your college, campus resources, and how to get involved at UVM, all while getting to know your fellow Catamounts. And when the sun goes down, the fun keeps going with social and recreational activities designed to help you relax, connect, and feel right at home.
