June Orientation Arrival and Check-In
Please plan to arrive on the first day between 8:00am to 10:00am for check-in at the Harris/Millis Complex on Athletic Campus. We recommend arriving early to avoid delays as there will be a large number of students and families checking in for the session. The University Welcome kicks off our program, beginning promptly at 10:30am.
We will be running Campus Bus Tours for students and families up until the Orientation program starts at 10:30am. These tours will give you a chance to relax after checking in and familiarize yourself with campus prior to the start of your orientation session.
Please note: Family Check-In will take place from 8:00am to 10:00am in University Heights South Residence Hall (located adjacent to the Harris/Millis Complex).
If you are traveling a long distance or are an Honors College student and require housing the night before your session, please indicate your need for early arrival when you register. Check-in for early arrivals will be available from 3:00pm to 11:00 pm the day before your registered session. You will be housed in your assigned room for Orientation when you arrive.
The Early Arrival cost for students is $55.00 - which covers an extra night of housing, food, and staffing. Early Arrival family costs are $140 per double ($70 per person) or $90 per single. Pizza will be available from 4:00pm to 7:00pm, and breakfast the following morning will be provided.

What to Bring
We suggest students attending Orientation bring a pen, note pad, an alarm clock, and possibly a fan - the Harris/Millis Complex where you will stay is not air-conditioned. No need to bring sheets - linens are provided for you. You will also be getting your UVM CATcard (ID) the first day of orientation, which will require a form of a government issued photo ID (Driver's license, Military ID, Passport, etc). High school ID's are not accepted.
Weather in Vermont is unpredictable; we encourage you to pack for all possibilities. We will be participating in events indoors and outdoors, so we recommend packing an umbrella and comfortableattire for traveling on campus.
Come with an opened mind! Be prepared to ask questions, meet UVM students, staff, and faculty; and learn lots of important information about the University.
