Bolton Valley has the highest base elevation of any Vermont ski resort, which means we get more snow, more often. We average more than 300 inches of natural snow each season! And we have an extensive snowmaking system to lend a hand when Mother Nature takes a break. Acres of trails, glades and Vermont's only Burton Progression Park at truly affordable prices. Adult lift tickets are priced as low as $56! Check out our ski and stay packages for special deals on family ski vacations.
If you've been to Jay Peak, you know our reputation is deserved—the most snow in eastern North America and a liberal in-bounds policy that ensures you can enjoy it. 77 trails, slopes and glades wait for you but the nooks and crannies are what really set Jay Peak apart. If you haven’t been here, come experience the reality behind the legend. From the far-out corners of the backcountry, to the close-at-hand convenience of The Zone learning area, there’s a little something for everyone at our larger than life mountain. Poke around and make some moments of your own.
Your family and friends will love all the skiing and snowboarding our 3 big mountains have to offer. No matter what your skill level - we have terrain for all abilities, ranging from gentle cruisers for beginners to more advanced trails for intermediates, all the way to the East's only triple black-diamond trail, The Black Hole, for the most experienced skiers and snowboarders. Regardless of your ability or age, we have a world renowned ski and snowboard school, our own Snow Sport University® that will help you take your skills to the next level.
Thanks to the hard work of our snowmaking team, we have the most open terrain in northern Vermont! Today we opened a few more trails, including the popular Tyro. So for tomorrow, we plan to have 41 trails open, serviced by 5 lifts, totaling 14 miles of top-to-bottom terrain for all ability levels. Intermediate and expert skiers & riders will most enjoy the terrain off the FourRunner Quad, while beginners have plenty of options available at Spruce Peak.
Many know us for our award winning terrain (and yes it is some of the best terrain in the East!), but we're much, much more than that. The natural beauty and mountain environment provide a striking setting and a true escape from the everyday. Our home - the Mad River Valley - provides a reason in and of itself to visit Sugarbush. "The Valley" as locals call it, is full of Vermont charm and empty of stop lights and fast food joints. Quirky shops, great restaurants, artisan galleries, covered bridges, church steeples, and more...all strung together by the winding Mad River.
