 What is the teacher accomplishing by moving about from group to group?
Mentor Teacher:
Most students are doing fine and just need assurance that  they are doing well.  I try to find groups that need more specific help to be successful in this simple machines lab.  In all cases I try to advance inquiry by pressing for explanations of what students are doing and why. Group work doesn't just happen buts needs lots of planning on my part. 
Student Teacher:
I am a bit uncomfortable with so many groups of students involved at different places in the lab activity at different times.  How can I be sure they are using their time wisely and accomplishing what they are supposed to?
