Psi Chi at the University of VermontThe UVM Psi Chi chapter was chartered on May 3, 1997, on petition from the UVM Psychology Club, which was organized in October, 1994, and recognized by the University of Vermont Student Government Association in March, 1995. This spring the UVM Psi Chi chapter celebrates its 10th anniversary.
The UVM Psi Chi chapter was the 906th in the nation, joining chapters at four-year institutions in all fifty states, including six at neighboring institutions in Vermont. The total number of memberships recorded at the national office during the first 70 years was over 360,000. Many Psi Chi members have gone on to distinguished careers in psychology.
