Albert D. Crowell Award

This award is given to a senior physics major who, in the judgment of the appropriate faculty members, has demonstrated promise in experimental physics through a research or laboratory project. The award carries a prize of $300, in addition to a handsome physics reference book. This award is given at the College of Arts and Sciences Honors Day in May.

David W. Juenker Award

This award is given to the most outstanding senior physics major, as determined by the physics faculty. The award carries a prize of $300, in addition to a handsome physics reference book. This award is given at the College of Arts and Sciences Honors Day in May.

Sigma Pi Sigma Honor Society

Undergraduate students having completed five physics courses with an overall GPA in the top third of their class are eligible for nomination to membership in Sigma Pi Sigma national honor society.

Sigma Xi Scientific Research Society

Students engaged in research in physics are eligible for nomination to associate membership in the Sigma Xi scientific research society.
