Project Management For Project Based Courses with Professor Dan Baker, CDAE

Do you teach a course that includes a hands-on component - one that challenges students to work individually or in groups to accomplish a project with impact outside of the classroom?  Do you struggle to keep students on-task without micromanaging and making more work for yourself?  This workshop, presented by Professor Dan Baker from the Community Development and Applied Economics department, will introduce you to strategies and tools from the project management field which can be adapted to support your class.  From project planning to interim reporting formats to planned evaluation, these frameworks will help you shape your course to both hold students accountable and provide them with the tools to meet those expectations.  Professor Baker draws from his experience in teaching project management courses and service-learning both locally and internationally.
