CUPS support for Community-Based Research

The CUPS Office has been involved in supporting faculty at the University of Vermont who collaboratively engage the community in their research, with the intent of providing a public benefit.  We have brought national leaders in the CBR movement to campus, facilitated a network of faculty involved in CBR, and conducted a study of the needs of these faculty members at UVM (in partnership with the Jeffords Center).  Currently, we are finalizing the report from this study and working with UVM administrators to develop recommendations.

Our office offers programmatic support to CBR through the following: 

• Support of undergraduate CBR research:  students may win the Public Research & Civic Endeavors scholarship to work on faculty-led CBR projects as research assistants
  
• Resource Library with materials on Community-Based Research
