University of Vermont
Asian Studies Outreach Program: Recent Standards-Based Curriculum Units

The following are excellent recent examples of ASOP Standards Based Curriculum Units that have been created by Vermont educator/participants in ASOP overseas summer programs. These units illustrate quality work for different grade levels using the guidelines which have been established for these units.

We have provided both brief summaries of the units for quick previews as well as full PDF files of the entire unit which can be downloaded and printed. Some of the complete units are fairly big files -- an issue for those of you with dial-up internet connections. All units are in Adobe Acrobat (pdf format) which can be read or printed using the free Adobe Acrobat Reader software.(Download Acrobat Reader software) Click on the boldfaced red links below to view the unit.
