The ASOP program was established in 1994 to promote learning and teaching about Asia in Vermont and works closely with Vermont schools in a variety of ways. This state-wide program for Asian Studies in Vermont schools has been in existence since 1998 and has been generously supported by the Freeman Foundation and the US-Japan Foundation.
