UVM offers an exceptional learning experience on an intimate scale. UVM's 100+ undergraduate academic offerings are housed within seven undergraduate colleges and schools, while a thriving graduate college, medical school and honors college enrich our campus and research opportunities.
Why choose to pursue academics at UVM? As one of the nation's premier small research universities, our size and dual teaching/research mission give students opportunities that aren't available at small schools and aren't accessible to undergraduates at big schools.

Honors College: The UVM Honors College brings together outstanding students in a residential learning community. The Honors College experience is shaped by an engaging curriculum, close interaction with faculty, an emphasis on undergraduate research and interesting co-curricular activities. The Honors College plans to admit 2-3 USPP students after reviewing applications from all qualified candidates.
Qualified USPP students will be invited to join the Honors College at the end of Summer Bridge. The decision will be based upon their USPP grades, their Summer Bridge end of term performance, a letter of recommendation from a Summer Bridge faculty member and an application essay. Only students with a GPA of 3.4 at the end of USPP (final grades) will be eligible to be considered for the Honors College.
Students will begin the process by contacting Patty Redmond, Assistant to the Dean at Patricia.Redmond@uvm.edu by August 1 to indicate their interest to apply. Completed applications are due to the Honors College by August 15.
