The University of Vermont

Relocating...

Burlington is Vermont's largest city, with a population of almost 40,000. It is the county seat of Chittenden County, the most populous of Vermont's fourteen counties. Burlington is home to several institutions of higher learning, including the University of Vermont, St. Michael's College, and Champlain College. Fletcher Allen Health Care, the state's largest hospital, is also located in Burlington, as is the Church Street Marketplace, one of New England's premier shopping destinations.

Chittenden County boasts almost 25% of Vermont's population, most of it centered in the city of Burlington, the town of Essex, and the town of Colchester.

Bordered by the charm of Lake Champlain on the west and the majesty of the Green Mountains' high peaks on the east, Chittenden County prides itself on having a little bit of something for everyone. Whether it's the flourishing arts scene of Burlington, the retail shopping mecca of Williston, or the attention to nature's beauty in Underhill, Chittenden County incorporates the best of what Vermont has to offer.
