From South Burlington, VT, Jordan is a graduate of Rice Memorial High School in Burlington. He attended Keene State College (NH) where he received a B.A. in Political Science and Sociology. While in Keene, he sat on the University System of New Hampshire's Board of Trustees and was very involved in policy advocacy issues on campus, especially regarding voting rights. He spent the six months prior to starting the MPA program working as a field director for a State Senate campaign, organizing a dozen rural and small cities on the Western side of New Hampshire. Having had the amazing opportunity to live in both Burlington and Keene, both of which being models for sustainability and development, has inspired in him a great interest in community development and sustainability policies, in both rural and urban communities.
