Biography

Brian recently completed a tour with the United States Peace Corps in Ukraine, surviving both the Orange Revolution and more beet-based meals than hed like to remember. While there, he worked as an English Instructor at Kamyanets-Podilsky State University and a Teacher-Trainier at Kolomiya Pedagogical College. His other projects included designing and building an English Language Resource Center and library, organizing conferences devoted to international cooperation and cultural issues, and helping to create a neighborhood Youth Center. He also made sure that baseball was properly appreciated by the next generation of growing Ukrainians. Prior to the Peace Corps, Brian worked as an English and Business Instructor at Bryant and Stratton College in Albany, New York. He has also worked for the New York State Writers Institute, writing press releases and helping organize their Visiting Writers Series. He received his M.A. in English from the State University of New York at Albany in 2002.
