WeatherString instruments are susceptible to changes in weather. Keep the instrument at room temperature whenever possible. Hot emperatures cause the wodd to expand, dry out, and crack. Very hot temperatures will cause the glue that holds the instrument together to fail. Cold temperatures cause the wood to contract, and crack.
