Zhenwen PanZhenwen Pan

Zhenwen Pan is a graduate student of material science program in the Physics Department at the University of Vermont since August 2006. He received his B.S (2006) from Material Science and Engineering Department of Shanghai Jiao Tong University, China. He is now working in Dr. Madalina Furis’s group and focuses his research on spin lifetime in nitride semiconductor by polarization-resolved spectroscopy techniques, Magneto-Optical Kerr Effect (MOKE) spectroscopy of nitride epilayers and heterostructures, and investigating spin manipulation (spin-orbit coupling strength control, spin transport length) of nitride semiconductors.

Minghao LiMinghao LiMinghao Li is a graduate student in the Physics Department (material science program). He
received his B.S (2007) from Jilin university. He was enrolled by the Physics Department in
2007, and now is working with Prof. M. Furis. His current research interest focus on the
synthesis and spectroscopy of high-quality CdSe, ZnSe semiconductor nanocrystallites.

Lane ManningLane ManningLane Manning is an undergraduate student in the College of Arts & Sciences at the University of Vermont.  He is currently pursuing his B.A. for Physics and Mathematics, and plans to graduate in the fall of 2008.  Lane is also assisting Dr. Madalina Furis with her work in the UVM spectroscopy lab in the Physics Department.
