Red Cross Protests And Activism

There have been a variety of protests at UVM addressing the Red Cross ban on gay men donating blood. One specific protest, spearheaded by Evan Litwin, class of 2005, resulted in a thorough investigation of the Red Cross's adherence to the University's commitment to nondiscrimination and diversity.

As a result of this investigation, blood drives have been banned from being held in residence halls on campus.
