Most people seem to want to get to Nova Scotia via ferry from Maine. We did that once. Frankly, it wasn't for us. But it is a reasonable way to get to the southern portions of Nova Scotia.
The ferry lands in Yarmouth, Nova Scotia. Yarmouth is a large (by NS standards), but pretty, seaport.
We drove up the northern coast of Nova Scotia past the town of Digby
It is pretty easy to drive to central Nova Scotia, to see the Bay of Fundy. We camped along Shubanacadie River, south of Truro.
This is an excellent region to explore the Bay of Fundy tides.
