Adding Texture to a photo createsa simple special effect on thephoto. This can add style and appeal to an otherwise simplistic picture.

Working with the Texture Filter

You may have a photo that you would like to add some character to with a special effect. A nice effect to try on photos is the texture tool. It gives the effect of a piece of parchment paper. Let's try it out...

Under the FILTER menu select the TEXTURE option and then choose TEXTURIZER.

Once the TEXTURIZER window opens, change the Scaling and the Relief scales to your liking. I chose 70% Scaling and 8 Relief. This setting gives a nice paper look. The look is enhanced by setting the TEXTURE setting to Canvas.

Your photo now has a nice textured appearance.
