Photoshop filters can be used to produce a range of special effects to your photos.

Photoshop's Filters

A filter can be applied to a whole layer of a graphic, or a designated selection on a layer.
Feather the selection to create a soft transition from a filtered to nonfiltered area.
Most filter boxes have a preview window that enables you to see the results on your image before applying it. Click on the + to zoom in on the image and - to look at the bigger picture.
