Course description, introduction to hypermedia through sample and demonstration. Discussion of portfolio purposes and processes and examination of different models. Discussion of Rubrics for assessing portfolios. Importing text, graphics, digitized pictures, scanning techniques and use of HyperStudio drawing tools.

The use of buttons to link portfolio pieces and move to selected cards. How to use buttons to create effects, animation and automatic timing. Adding sound to HyperStudio stacks. Developing a Stack for Fun. Students put together the elements learned to create a stack that they can use as a resource for their students or themselves.

Starting an electronic portfolio. Use of Student Templates. Discussion of portfolio as an assessment process. Examination of K-12 and Higher Education Portfolios. Students work on their portfolio.

Construction and presentation of portfolios. Student work on portfolios and save to CD-ROM or Zip Disk for Mac or Windows'95 and learn how to upload stacks to the Internet.
