Romantic New England Inns :: Southern Vermont Inns and Lodges
Built as a summer home in 1915 for lumber baron Martin Brown, the magnificent structure has 14 fireplaces, finely crafted French doors and two-storied terraces supported by soaring pillars. Enjoy the four-season patio lounge, where you can catch a magnificent sunset overlooking the west lawn. The room is filled with windows and has a sunny tropical feel, even in the middle of winter when it is warmed by a wood stove. The inn has 25 guest rooms, each equipped with private bath and furnished with period pieces that cozily suit this New England country hostelry. Thanks to the inn's prize hilltop location, there is a view from every room.
 
 
Nine rooms have fireplaces, six have balconies or terraces, and four have large whirlpool tubs. Seven of these rooms are located in a separate guest house. The lower level of the inn has been transformed into an invigorating spa, which includes a sauna, and a small, indoor heated swimming pool.
 

                                                                                                   

 

 

Our in house restaurant offers the one of the infest dining experiences in New England. Food is prepare through the Vermont Fresh network and our own locally grown meats, cheese, and vegetables. below is our daily dinner menu.
