Mutsumi Corson is a senior lecturer of Japanese in the Department of Asian Languages and Literatures. She has been at UVM since 1997. She is from Kanazawa, Japan and earned her M.A. in TESL at St. Michael's College, Vermont. She has been directing the Japanese Language Program since 2002 and has been a co-director of the Global Village Japanese House since 1997. She creates various teaching materials for several courses. She has been working on developing additional study abroad sites. Mutsumi coordinates Japanese cultural activities on campus and hosts a tea ceremony workshop every semester. She loves teaching.
