Careers in Biological Science

Graduates of UVM's Biological Science program are well prepared to compete in the job market as B.S. level scientists in a variety of sectors:

• private industry
• government agencies
• pharmaceutical or biotechnology companies

Many graduates continue with advanced studies leading to degrees such as:

• M.S.
• Ph.D.
• M.D., and
• D.V.M.

and subsequent professions in:

• academia
• industry
• government (e.g., USDA, USFS, US Department of Fish and Game) or
• health sciences
