My House from Above!

Welcome First Graders!

You have been working on writing your addresses, and you're doing a great job! Now, the fire department needs your help.
They are trying to make really great maps so that they could easily get to your house if you ever have a fire. Can you help?

 Grab your worksheet that we were working on last time. Make sure your address is written on it!

You will be  drawing directions from the fire department to your house!
Your instructions are as follows:

    (1) Look at the text box near the top of the page, where you might type something in. Just below, there are the words "Get Directions." Click on the words.
    (2) Use the first page of your worksheet to  find  the address of the fire department.   
    (3)Type it into the first box you see on the left. 43 Bombardier Rd, Milton, Vermont
      (4) Then type your own address into the second box on the right.
    (5) Click on the grey button "Get Directions."
    (6) Label one sticky note "My House." Put this on your worksheet.
    (7) Label one sticky note "Fire Station." Put this on your worksheet.
    (8) Draw the route that the map shows you from the fire station to your house! It is blue.
