This webquest leads you to more information about the world of cells, including what makes up a cell and how they work? Have fun exploring!!
Your challenge (if you choose to accept it) is to complete 2 or more of the following activities. Please record all your answers and drawings in your science journal.
Activity 1
Name 5 parts of an animal cell using the following website. Record all five parts in your science journal.

Activity 2
Use the following website to find out more information about the parts of a cell. Click on each part of the cell to find out more information. What did you learn? Record two new things that you learned about the Nucleus and the Endoplasmic Reticulum in your science journal.

Activity 3
Take a tour of a eukaryote cell. Click on at least 2 different parts of the cell that you haven’t heard of before, record the name and function of that new part.

Activity 4
What are the differences between plant cells and animal cells? Use this website to answer this question. Once you have clicked on the website then go to “cells.” Click on “Plant” and “Animal” to see the differences. Record at least 2 differences between plant and animal cells.

Use this website to look through a microscope. Draw and label 2 of the cells that you look at.
1. After you click on the link, go to “cells.”
2. Click on “Looking through a microscope”
3. Then choose a slide and “View” it.
4. Draw what you see.
