Introduction: Have you ever wondered what it would be like to live as a Native American in the early 19th century? What would your shelter look like? What would you eat? What would you wear? You will answer these questions and more by using this WebQuest. This WebQuest has been created to help you better understand the cultures of Native Americans. |

The Challenge: Your mission for this WebQuest is to become a Native American. Your class will be divided into groups and given a region to learn about. These regions that you will study are the: Eastern Woodlands, the Plains, the Pacific Northwest, and the Southwest. Each person will complete the following tasks for their specific region. |

The Tasks: You will use the online resources in The Journey section to find out about the following subjects in your specific region. You will want to find information about your regions on: shelter, land, food, clothing, transportation, arts and crafts, and any other information that you find of interest about your region. You will write this information in your Native-American journal. You will also select one topic and create or bring in something to present to the class. Examples: a Native-American arts and craft, a food item, a replica of your regions shelter, or an idea of your own. |
