THE LION “king of the beasts”

 

 

 

·       Lions live in Africa

·       Lion’s offspring are called ‘cubs’

·       Lions are meat eaters

THE KANGAROO

 

 

·       Kangaroos live in Australia

·       The mom has a pouch on her belly where she carries her baby.

·       The baby Kangaroo is called a ‘joey

·       They can leap 30 feet in one jump!

THE GIRAFFE

 

 

·       Giraffes live in Africa

·       The world’s tallest animals.

·       Their babies are called ‘calfs’

·       Their long necks help them to eat leaves at the top of trees!

THE CHAMELEON

 

 

·       Chameleons live on the Island of Madagascar

·       They are very unique because they can change skin color

·       Chameleons eat insects and some eat birds

·       They are between 7 and 10 inches long and some are even 24 inches long!

ANACONDA

 

 

·       Anacondas live in jungles in South America

·       They can weigh up to 220 pounds!

·       They can grow to up to 15 feet long!

·       Anacondas hunt in rivers and trees for its prey

THE OCTOPUS

 

 

·       Octopus live in the sea

·       They have eight long arms called tentacles

·       They can be up to 18 feet long!

·       They eat crabs, shellfish, and shrimp

THE POLAR BEAR

 

 

·       Polar bears live in the frozen regions of the Arctic

·       They eat seals, fish, geese, and ducks
