     Rainforest

( For Grades 3-4)

 

Introduction

You are an expert on animals that live in the Rainforets.  Lately many people have been asking you questions about animals that live in the Rainforest such as, “What animals live in the Rainforest?”, “What do animals in the Rainforest eat?”, and “How do animals in the Rainforest survive?”  You explain to these people that there are many animals that live in the Rainforest and they eat many different things.  You spend a lot of time on safari in the Rainforest researching animals you are often away and unable to answer questions.  In order to keep people informed about the many different animals in the Rainforest you decide to make brochures on the different animals in the Rainforest so that people can get information any time they want.                                              

 

 

 Your Challenge:

Look through the following website to find an animal from the Rainforest that interests you.  Then you will create a brochure about your animal.  Make sure to include the following in your brochure:

1.   A picture of your animal (this can be a print out or a drawing)

2.  In which Rainforest does your animal live?

3.  Describe your animals habitat. (ex. Does it live in the trees in the forest canopy? )

4.  What does your animal eat?  

5.  Describe adaptations your animal has for surviving in it’s environment.
