It is the year 3003. The condition of the Earth has been declining over the past thousand years. The environment has become so polluted that scientists estimate that in 100 years, it may become impossible to live on Earth. World leaders are looking for a solution to this problem. They’ve asked you, a well-known astronomer, to design a possible settlement on Mars that could support human life. The world leaders are especially interested in knowing what it would be like to live on Mars and how your settlement would make life on this planet a possibility.

Your Mission:

Locate information about Mars on the internet. You will want to find details about the weather, existence of water, possible life on Mars, and anything else that could affect humans living there. Using this information you will design a settlement that can support human life. taking into consideration all the facts you’ve learned. Your design should include a drawing and brief summary of how each aspect of the settlement will protect humans from the weather on Mars, how the differences in gravity would affect the human body, and how food and water will be provided. This is your chance to plan a perfect world, so be creative!
