Your Challenge:
    A) Introduction

In order for plants and animals to survive and live in their environments, they need to have special adaptations just like we do. There are three different kinds of adaptations: physical, behavioral, and physiological adaptations. The following definitions should be helpful to you as you go on your journey.
 

• Physical Adaptation: This involves body shape or color. For examle: the thorns of a rose bush, antlers of a deer, and "feelers" for a housefly
• Behavioral Adaptations:This involves how animals act. An example of this is when a baby lion learns how to hunt for the very first time.

Physilogical Adaptation: This involves the way the body parts work. An example of this is how organs of sense allow wolves to smell its prey a mile away.

B) The Challenge:

Choose an animal to study. You will use information that you gather from your research to add to your animal adaptation folders about the animal you choose. The information collected should include:

• The animal's habitat
• Special adaptations
• How adpatations help the animal live in its environment and to survive
• Any interesting facts
