Journey Through the Planets
A Science Webquest for third grade

                                           

 
Introduction:  The year is 2060. You are an astronaut chosen  to blast off into a journey through outerspace.
 

Challenge: Your job is to find out as much information about all the
planets to see if life could exist on another planet. What you will need to come back from your journey with is:
    1. The ability to identify the planets by their pictures.
    2. Bring back facts of the physical characteristics of the planets. These might include size, temperature, distance from the Sun...
    3. A brief summary as to why you think life would or would not be possible on that particular planet.
