Your Weather Webquest Challenge

| Introduction: It is almost time for Thanksgiving. Your family gets a call from your Uncle Herbert who lives in Phoenix, Arizona. He invites your family to come to his house for Thanksgiving dinner! Your mom says she would love to come, but she's never been to the Southwest before. You tell her that you will research the climate and some activities for you and your family to do, if she books the airline tickets. She agrees and tells you this sounds like a great plan! |

| The Challenge: 1. Do research on the Internet to find the temperature in Phoenix, Arizona and South Burlington, Vermont. 2. Draw a picture on a blank piece of paper or use your words to describe the types of clothing you may need to pack. 3. Find one plant and one animal that grow in Phoenix, Arizona. 4. Look for some ways to connect what you know about the Native American groups we have studied that live in the Southwest to what you learn about Arizona. (Habitat, Home, Dress, Food, Customs etc.) |
