| Your Challenge |
| a. Introduction Starbase has just contacted you and they need your help! One of their top teachers has come down with a terrible cold and will be out for two weeks. The problem is they have a class of fourth graders coming in to learn about flight and the forces that allow flight to happen. Your teaching will help guide these students and give them an opportunity to explore new ideas of jobs they may want to hold when they grow up. In order to secure your placement as the replacement teacher at Starbase, you will need to present your knowledge about flying and the forces that allow flight to happen. If the leaders of Starbase feel that you are well informed, you will receive this wonderful opportunity to help these students, which also comes along with a hefty paycheck! |
| b. The
Challenge Locate information found on the internet about the forces of flight. Use this information to create a poster that explains how the forces of flight allow for a plane, jet, rocket, etc. to move throw the air without falling to the ground. You may also present outside information that affects the forces of flight. (Example: Newton’s Laws of Motion) Make sure your poster includes correct and useful information that is well organized. A well organized poster will make your presentation easier to read. |
