This is a hurricane
Introduction:
  Have you ever seen or been in a tropical storm? Well a hurricane is just that, but with stronger winds. When hurricanes move onto land, the strong winds and big ocean waves can damage buildings, houses, trees and cars.  Your job is to learn more about hurricanes so you can be well-prepared for the strong winds, rain, and even floods if they come your way.

Your Challenge:   
You just saw on the news that a hurricane warning is in affect. You have to prepare yourself and your family for the terrible weather that is about to come. A hurricane has several different names depending on where it is, so you will need to find out where they are located. Go to the links below to write down some facts why hurricanes are so dangerous, ways you can prepare for them, and what you should have in your survival kit.
